Need Clothing/hair/ Makeup Advice Fast Please.?
Question by Peggy: Need Clothing/hair/ makeup advice fast Please.?
Help. I got laid off 8 months ago. I just got my first job interview. It os Friday. I am interviewing for a sales clerk job in a upscale dept. store. I used to work in a fast food restaurant, where wwe had to wear T shirts and black pants and safety shoes. I can't afford to buy anything new to wear, can't afford to have my hair , makeup. and nails done at the salon . I'm 40 years old and very overweight.. I wear glasses and my nails are short. I don't have any friends my size that i can borrow anything to wear from. In my closet, I have black twill Dickies type work pants, black jeans, black cotton capris, some black knit shorts, and 2 ankle length black skirts. One has a chiffon flowing layer over the top of some silky fabric, the other is velvet an pretty straight, with a slit up the side. I have a lot of T shirts, most of them black, some are plain and some have writing or pictures on them,
I have a couple of dressy sweaters with sparkle stuff throught them.
One is gold, the other silver and black. I have a low cut bright red satin blouse , and a very low cut purple satin halter top with sequins on it. I have some sweat shirts and sweat pants, too mostly black,
and a couple of denim jackets , and an old pink fuzzy fake fur winter coat. For shoes, I have black steel toed safety shoes, black western cowboy boots, black sneakers, and a pair of open toed , high heeled , strappy silver stilleto sandals, a gold pair just like them, and and a pair of red satin ballet type flats, and a pair of black satin open toe wedge type slippers with purple feathers and sequns on the top.
I can't even com close to fitting into my husbands old dress suit orany of his stuff, though his ties would work.
Help ! The interview is tomorrow and I dont know what to wear or how to go with what I ve got and pull it off. Any ideas......
By the way, I'm in Phoenix, AZ , we just moved here .

What Do Think of My Beginning???????
Question by TheMadHatter[Alice]TM: What do think of my beginning???????
Hope You like it, the books called Breathing! Opinions and no rude comments:)
Breathing.
But Why?
Nothing made any sense.
The harsh blare of a siren screamed against my ears, colliding with the idyllic bass guitar that fell into a ostinato of a broken tune.
Blood.
I could hear voices calling, pleading and desperate, raking across my skin, making each hair stand on end.
Fear
Why couldn’t I think? I didn’t even know who I was.
I felt the heave of my breath like a nail raking into my chest, making it rasp and wheeze dangerously. Each sense building up like a climax, as they came back to life, remembering what it was like to smell the enchanting smell of lavender burst into my nostrils. To feel the grass beneath the tips of my fingers, caressing against my skin. To hear the delicate songbird humming a chorus of feather weight notes. To taste the bitter and metallic taste of fresh blood in my mouth. And I opened my eyes.
The World revealed it’s dark secrets.
The blinding sunlight brushed along them, it’s rays glittering through the sway of golden haze leaves, almost like it was trying to tickle my nose. With effort, I looked to my side, watching a swirl of amber leaf twirling in the breeze, before following my gaze down the wire of my iPod. I wasn’t even sure if it was an iPod. A song still tinkled into my eardrums, the hearty singer sending out a peaceful melody, trying to will me into a lullaby sleep. But I couldn’t sleep; not now. I looked down at myself, fascinated by the completely garish pink, thigh clinging dress, that had been coated in thick, bubbling mud. Why would I wear such a thing anyway? I sighed heavily, my eyes lingering towards a pair of purple cowboy boots, with a pretend sheriff star cheaply plastered on the side. Whoever I used to be obviously had herself convinced they were even worth smiling at, which was considerably disturbing. Propping myself upwards, I was surprised by the lack of pain; to be honest, there wasn’t any pain at all. I searched my body for bruises and marks, but not a single blemish even scraped my skin. Well, apart from the mud and dried out blood matted into my hair; ouch.
The voices were still calling.
I looked in the direction where they came from, catching sight of neon green uniforms ploughing round a badly mashed up car that sat dangerously on the other side of the road. smoke billowing from it’s bonnet. the window had been shattered entirely, crimson blood still dripping delicately from the metal and remaining bits of glass. I watched as more people appeared, rushing through the tree’s in a heated frenzy, repeating the same name again and again. “Strange, usually in a crash the people don’t just disappear…”
I sighed deeply, realising I couldn’t just sit here lolling around while somebody was missing; I needed to help them. Hopefully they wouldn’t notice the pvc dress, it was bad enough for me even to withstand looking at it. Cringing as I pushed myself forwards, with a clumsy fall I was on my feet, the ground unsteady beneath them. Straightening my back and pretending not to be embarrassed, I brushed the various infestations clinging to my body; ewh.
But, for a start, where the hell was I? I pursed my lips tightly, catching sight of an idyllic sign rusting on the bend in the road.
“Hallows Well.” I murmured, reading it aloud. “Odd, why does it sound familiar?”
Still lost in thought, I didn’t notice a green beetle come plummeting across the road, drifting into a abrupt halt; brakes squealing. A brown bob appeared from the door, before I caught sight of a very angry face filled with disgust, as she slammed the door shut with a bang.
“What the fuck are you talking about, when you say she wasn’t in the car?” The woman squeaked, running a nervous hand through her hair. “It’s not as she flew that far out the windscreen!”
“Were sorry, ma’am, but she just wasn-”
“Do not give me crap, DCI Rainer.” The woman, fumed, feet stomping as she approached the group of sheepish policeman stood watching her intensely.
“People don’t just disappear.” She exclaimed.
If only I had known.
Shaking myself back to reality, I took a careful step forward, cringing at the horrifying squeak of pvc boot’s as they moved. The sun glared against my eyes, making me squint up towards it callous glow, it’s rays winking downwards. all around me the forest heaved, it was alive with movement, pumping like a heartbeat of a wild animal. I smiled to myself, following the small trail that led through the undergrowth, my eyes glittering with fascination. The road hadn’t looked that far away, but it seemed to be taking longer than I expected, each step taking it further from my grasp. My hair bristled against my face as I walked, golden curls looking even sexier in the sunlight; hopefully it would draw the peoples attention away from my clothes.
The people had started to scream. Yelling at the top of their voices, the woman with the mean br
own bob looked ready to whack someone with the roll of papers in her hands. I could hear the fear in their voices, fear for the unknown; I knew that feeling now. I mean, how the heck did I end up asleep in the middle of a forest, blood matted into my skin, Without a trace of a scar. And why couldn’t I think, trying to remember…..grasping on finding out who I was, why I was here? A shooting pain seemed to of replaced my memories, like it was hiding my secrets, laughing in distaste. And just as I thought things couldn’t get any worse, stepping over a large rotting log I noticed what was clung to it’s slimy exterior, stopping me dead in my tracks. A strand of blonde hair flailed in the breeze, snagged on the log. My hair.
I could feel the terror clenching at my insides.
“Why?” I asked quietly, looking up to gaze at the swirl of Persian white clouds. “What happened here!”
My question hung in the air without an answer.
I had to find an answer; whatever it cost me.
Surging forward, I kept watchful of the paramedics and police, preparing for their angered frowns when they saw me; saw these boots. The woman seemed to of calmed down considerably, her hand ever so slightly shaking as she took a sip of coffee. The other’s were regarding her restlessly, chatting amongst themselves gently, trailing off every now and again to glance back at her. The people hadn’t seen me yet, and were pretending to be busy with pieces of paper and writing notes on the corners of ripped sheets. Sighing, I stepped forward, making my ‘grand’ entrance.
“Erm, Hi, erm, well I’m a bit lost…….” I said, trailing off when I saw their faces, a reckless stillness washing over each expression. They stood stunned, the woman blinking uncontrollably whilst running a confused hand through her hair. Oh Crap.
“Well I’m like totally sorry for standing in the middle of your crime scene, it’s just, I like woke up here and……” I winced, cringing at my pathetic attempt at an excuse. They were still staring at me, mouths wide open, some of them even dropping their cups of coffee. Good lord, help me.
“Well, I’ll just be going then!” I finished in a rush, turning on my heel.
“Stop!” The woman barked, making me look over my shoulder. She had regained her superior posture , straightening her back and brushing down her skirt.

The first few paragraphs are VERY DESCRIPTIVE. It's almost too descriptive; it went on and on. It sounds like an interesting story once you get things going though. Keep writing!

Where Can I Find Some Cute Cowboy Boots?
Question by Ashley: Where can I find some cute cowboy boots?
I'm looking for some super cute women's cowboy boots. I'm not interested in work boots or riding boots so they don't have to be that great of quality. I also don't want to pay a lot of money for them. 50 dollars absolute max. I love the Taylor Swift cowboy boots and sundress combo. I just can't seem to find any cute fashion cowboy boots that don't cost a fortune. Thanks!
I do not want to order anything online. I would like a list of stores.

Is Men Wearing Boots Okay?
Question by Little Boy on the Wall: Is men wearing boots okay?
Now a days, I haven't seen many men wearing boots, for some strange reason only women wears them, though earlier they were greatly worn by almost all men. Is it still okay for men to wear boots? I don't mean like Ugg Boots, or cowboy boots, but plain leather boots.
What do you think, should I get myself some boots?

Look for a place called " Boot Barn". Cowboy boots are very expensive and really should be tried on by the person who is going to be wearing them

Fashion Help for Men?
Question by Jim: Fashion help for Men?
I need advice on what to wear. I'm meeting up with some old friends tomorrow. I've got these dark blue jeans (not skinny ones) and I'm definitely wearing those. I've got two questions:
I have a red checkered shirt that looks like this:
http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/imag…
and another shirt with red, blue and yellow checkers. The checkers in this one are larger and the lines are bolder. It may sound like a really bad fashion choice but when you see it it actually looks pretty good. I really don't know which shirt would be a better choice. The one with many colours gives a bit of a farmer/cowboy feel to it, and makes me look bigger, which is helpful since I'm more on the thin side. As for the red one, I know that 'red and blue should never be seen' but does that include jeans?
My second question is whether or not I should tuck my jeans into my boots. My boots look something like this: http://www.6pmstore.com/index.php?main_p…
My jeans a not very loose around the legs, and again I'm on the thin side, so I'm afraid it might look something like this, which I don't like very much: http://www.sunrainey.com/cheap-monday-10…
The shoelaces on the boots get loose easily, so if my jeans are over the boots I don't have to worry about the laces. But if I keep covering the boots with my jeans, what's the point in buying a high-cut boot in the first place?
Thanks a lot for your help.
PS I'm NOT gay I'm just asking this question here because I know gays have great fashion sense and I respect that.
